19 Convenient Healthy Weight Loss Snacks To Curb Your Cravings

While the best healthy weight loss snacks are going to be whole, natural, unprocessed foods that provide protein, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and no additives, we don’t always have time to prepare healthy snacks.

Fortunately, there are some healthy snacks for weight loss diets that you can buy right off the shelf that might be as good as homemade meal-prepped snacks for weight loss but are still much “better“ or can be considered “healthier alternatives“ to traditional snacks.

Essentially, these types of healthier snack ideas aren’t necessarily the healthiest snacks for weight loss or the most nutritious snacks for weight loss, but they are healthier snack options for common popular snack foods.

These easy weight loss snacks can be particularly useful for kids, but plenty of adults also enjoy typical “junk food snacks“ like goldfish, cookies, cheese puffs, candy, etc., and can therefore, benefit from these better-for-you snack alternatives.

Veggie chips.

Below, we have rounded up some of the best healthy snack substitutes for weight loss so you can still enjoy your favorite flavors, but healthier!

These snacks have better nutrition and higher-quality ingredients that are less inflammatory or have less sugar, refined grains, sodium, processed oils, etc., and you can buy them right off the shelf if you need something healthy and quick on the go.

19 Healthy Weight Loss Snacks

#1: Magic Spoon Cereal

We love high-protein cereal like Magic Spoon for any weight loss diet snack because it helps keep you satiated while being deliciously reminiscent of your favorite childhood sweet cereals.

#2: The Good Bean Thai Chili and Lime Leaf Black Edamame Snacking Beans

The Good Bean Edamame Snacks are roasted black soybeans made with Thai chili and lime leaf.

A ⅓-cup serving has 130 calories, 8 grams of carbs, 11 grams of filling protein, 8 grams of fiber, and 5 grams of healthy fat.

They are great to eat as is for a healthy snack for weight loss diet plans, or you can sprinkle them on salads.

Veggie chips.

#3: Harvest Snaps Veggie Chips

These healthier potato chip alternatives are packed with plant protein and provide a decent source of fiber in every serving. The veggie chips are baked and not fried.

Plus, with the following tasty flavors, you can get many of the same mouth-popping flavors in a healthier snack alternative without missing the texture or crunch of salty, fatty potato chips.

  • Lightly Salted (a good healthy snack swap for regular potato chips)
  • Tomato Basil (for people who like pizza-flavored goldfish or BBQ potato chips)
  • Crunchy Loops Sour Cream & Onion (a healthier alternative to sour cream potato chips)

These veggie snacks have either farm-picked green peas or red lentils as the very first ingredient (which gives you the protein and fiber!), and they contain no artificial flavors or preservatives, gluten, wheat, soy, nuts, peanuts, or eggs.

Animal crackers.

#4: 34 Degrees Sweet Crisps

The wafer-thin 34 Degrees Sweet Crisps are sweet like a cookie and crispy like a cracker.

They are a great alternative to graham crackers, Oreos, animal crackers, or other sweet snacks that are generally made with much more sugar and contain refined grains.

Instead, the 34 Degrees Sweet Crisps are made with chickpea flour (so they have a lot more protein and fiber) and heart-healthy coconut oil.

They are also free from soy, nuts, eggs, and dairy.

Plus, they are way less sweet (read: less sugar) than many snack crackers and cookies, making them a healthy snack for weight loss diets when you have a hankering for something to quell your sweet tooth without triggering cravings or packing on tons of calories or sugar.

You can enjoy about 17 sweet crisps for only 120 calories.

There are seasonal flavors like Pumpkin Spice Sweet Crisps and Chocolate Peppermint Sweet Crisps, as well as evergreen snacking options like Chocolate, Vanilla, and Sweet Lemon.

I like that they are so delicate and airy and satisfy my sweet tooth without being cloyingly sweet or high in calories.

#5: Catalina Crunch Protein Snack Mix

This is a healthy snack alternative instead of Chex Mix or cereal-based trail mixes and high-carb snack mixes made from refined grains.

It is keto-friendly, with 5 grams of carbs per serving, and has up to 10 grams of protein per serving.

I like the high-quality ingredients, the fact that there’s lots of fiber, a great crunch, and bold flavors, and the healthy snack mix does not seem to get stale easily.

#6: Cheese Snacks

Even though cheese can be high in calories, the protein helps keep you full, and if you are following a low-carb diet for weight loss like the keto diet, certain cheeses can be a great low-carb weight-loss snack.

I love the Cheese Bits Mozzamini Pearls Wasabi flavor.

Another great healthy, convenient snack for weight loss is Whisps Cheese Crisps. It’s a single ingredient—real cheese—baked so that it becomes a delicate, light cheese crisp.

A protein shake.

#7: Protein Smoothies

I love the Fuel for Fire protein smoothie packets.

There is no sugar added, and most of these tasty protein smoothies have 10 grams of protein, only 110 calories, and are made with simple, real ingredients.

#8: Del Monte’s Fruit Refreshers

If possible, it is undoubtedly preferable to eat real, whole, fresh fruit as one of your healthy weight loss snacks.

However, if you can’t get to the grocery store often or you have picky eaters in your house who don’t like many fresh fruits, good healthy weight loss snacks are the Del Monte fruit cups.

These are healthier fruit cup snacks than most of the syrupy conventional fruit cups that are loaded with sugar.

The Del Monte Fruit Refreshers fruit snack cups have only 100 calories, are made with no artificial sweeteners, and provide 70% of Vitamin C in each cup.

There are lots of flavors to choose from, like Red Grapefruit in Guava.

#9: Fruit and Veggie Chips

Again, while fresh fruit and vegetables are the best snacks for weight loss and healthy diets because they contain the water and thus volume that will help you feel full, fruit and veggie packaged snacks can also be great for weight loss if you choose the right options.

We love Confetti Snacks, which are upcycled baked vegetables like carrots, radishes, purple sweet potatoes, and mushrooms infused with authentic spices and flavors.

Veggie chip flavors include Green Curry, Tandoori Curry, Teriyaki BBQ, and Summer Truffle. Mushroom chip flavors include Green Curry, Tandoori Curry, and Black Truffle.

They are environmentally-friendly and healthy, and a great way to eat more vegetables while having a nutritious, low-calorie weight loss snack.

Most dried fruit is packed with calories because sugar is added; the RIND fruit chips snacks are dehydrated fruit with nothing added.

They are crispy and chewy at the same time and packed with fiber to keep you full, along with all of the natural vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants in the fruit.

Tuna salad.

#10: Safe Catch Tuna Pouches

I often recommend tuna as one of the best healthy snacks for weight loss because it is packed with protein.

High-protein snacks for weight loss are fantastic because they help keep you full, don’t raise blood sugar (and then cause it to plummet!), and tend to be harder to overeat.

I love the Safe Catch Tuna Pouches.

The Citrus Pepper has just 110 calories, 21 grams of protein, and just 8% of the DVF sodium, which is much lower than most of the seasoned tuna snack packets.

#11: Sanders No Sugar Added Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels

These chocolates are awesome for chocoholics trying to lose weight because it is high in fiber and crazy decadent with no artificial sweeteners or sugar alcohols).

Two pieces (28 grams of 1 ounce) has just 90 calories, 18 grams of carbs, 10 grams of fiber, and 7 grams of fat.
