The organization behind the biggest marathons around the world, Abbott World Marathon Majors, has just announced its latest Gold Club.” 

The Abbott World Marathon Majors Gold Club is a membership-based program that gives members a number of benefits and perks to participating members. 

New members are sent a welcome box that contains a variety of exclusive merchandise, along with a number of different offers that can be accessed immediately.

Abbott World Marathon Majors iterates that the Gold Club is a separate and optional program for marathon runners, and it is not a requirement to participate in the Six Star Program or to receive a World Ranking.

Alongside the Six Star Program, World Rankings, and virtual Global Run Club, which everyone has access to, Abbott World Marathon Majors lists the other benefits Gold Club members will receive, which include:

  • Exclusive welcome box
  • Bonus race draw entries: One additional entry into each eligible Abbott World Marathon Majors race draw.
  • In-depth content: Masterclasses for various topics, including training and nutrition.
  • Partner offers and discounts
  • Unique race experiences
  • Gold club community
  • Dedicated support

Abbott World Marathon Majors says the date for the initial registration period has not been specified yet. 

However, when the first window does open, there will be a capacity for the number of people able to register. The organization plans to have a waitlist alongside multiple registration windows throughout the year to ensure as many runners as possible are able to become part of the Gold Club.

The cost to become a member of the Gold Club program has not yet been specified.
