Run Long Run Healthy is a weekly newsletter from Brady Holmer (MSc in Human Performance, science writer – X, Instagram) and a podcast he hosts with Thomas Watson, Marathon Handbook founder.
The goal of Run Long Run Healthy is to distil the latest in running science and research into useful advice and learnings for all runners to apply to their own training.
Run Long Run Healthy was originally authored by running legend Amby Burfoot, who still writes regularly for Marathon Handbook and serves as our editor-at-large. In February 2025, Amby handed over the reins to Brady, and Thomas and Brady started the podcast which you can find on YouTube and Spotify.
