Taking perhaps the most coveted Strava segment in Canada is no small feat: the 750m stretch of pavement in front of the rapper’s $100 million mansion (known as the Embassy), has become popular with runners in Drizzy’s hometown of Toronto.
The reason: Strava, the fitness app that allows athletes to register their times over various routes, called segments, and compare them with those of runners across the world. The strip in front of Drake’s home, nestled inside Toronto’s swanky Bridle Path neighbourhood, has been tried by more than 4,000 runners, each attempting to claim the segment as their own.
The record for completing the 750m course stood at two minutes and 13 seconds: which is a pace of 2:57/km. Alex came in with one goal: to annihilate that mark… all without drawing too much attention from the OVO posse.
