The 2025 TCS London Marathon looks to be perhaps the greatest elite field in the raceโs history with some of the fastest and most successful marathon runners of all time lining up on April 27.
Behind them will be 50,000 other runners, including lots of famous faces from the world of sport and entertainment. Hereโs who you should look out for.
In 2025 weโll see successful sports stars pulling on different kits as they run from Greenwich to The Mall, including three sporting Sirs.
- Sir Jason Kenny, a former track cyclist and Britainโs most successful Olympian, is running his first marathon.
- Sir Andrew Strauss and Sir Alastair Cook, two England cricket legends, are running for the Ruth Strauss Foundation.

Celebrity Runners with Running Histories
- Harry Judd: The McFly drummer is no stranger to marathons, having previously completed the London Marathon in 2017 with an impressive time of 3:02:00. He is an avid runner and often shares his training journeys on social media.
- Romesh Ranganathan: The comedian also ran London in 2024, completing the race in just under five hours. His candid and humorous recount of his training made him a favorite among fans.
- Adele Roberts: Adele, a well-known radio personality, completed the London Marathon in 2023 despite recovering from bowel cancer.
- Chris Evans: The radio presenter is a veteran marathoner, having completed multiple marathons over the years, often running for childrenโs charities. His best time in the London Marathon is around 4:40.

- Joe Wicks: The “Body Coach” is a fitness influencer who completed the London Marathon in 2019 in 3:40:00.
- John Terry: The former Chelsea and England defender is taking on the marathon for the first time, running for the Rays of Sunshine charity.
