Adidas and the Boston Athletic Association have unveiled the official jacket for the 129th Boston Marathon. This 2025 design offers a fresh take on the classic Boston Blue, and is the latest edition in probably the most iconic fashion lineup in the running world.
Jennifer Thomas, Adidas’ Vice President of Global Sports Marketing, emphasized the significance of the Boston Marathon, stating, “Running the Boston Marathon is one of the most meaningful milestones in sports, and each runner’s experience leading up to and during race weekend is full of countless moments worth celebrating. For all those taking on the course this spring, we wanted this year’s jacket to serve as a reminder that their race is truly a victory, no matter the outcome.”
A notable fresh feature on the jacket is the words “Boston is my victory” printed on the left sleeve, which will also appear across Adidas’ marathon apparel collection, set to launch on February 1.
Jack Fleming, President and CEO of the Boston Athletic Association, said, “The reveal of this year’s Boston Marathon Celebration Jacket is an inspirational reminder of what awaits the thousands of participants who’ve begun their journeys to Boylston Street. We’ve partnered with Adidas for more than three decades to help our runners commemorate their accomplishments, and we’re proud of the underlying message behind this year’s jacket that every journey to and victory in Boston deserves celebration in equal measure.”
In addition to the jackets, Adidas plans to outfit nearly 10,000 volunteers with exclusive jackets and provide official Boston Marathon T-shirts to approximately 30,000 participants. The 2025 Boston Marathon jacket is priced at $120 and is available for purchase starting today on Adidas’ official website, alongside a number of other official merchandise, including Adizero Boston 12 Shoes.
