Day 2 of the 2026 European Athletics Championships delivered three more track titles at Alexander Stadium on August 11. Britain’s Romell Glave won the men’s 100m in 10.09, leading a home one-two ahead of Jeremiah Azu (10.16), while Italy’s Olympic champion Lamont Marcell Jacobs pulled up and trailed home in 12.26. Italy did get its gold on the track from Nadia Battocletti, who controlled the women’s 5000m to win in 15:37.84. And the women’s 100m hurdles produced the closest finish of the night, with the Netherlands’ Nadine Visser and Poland’s Pia Skrzyszowska both timed at 12.67 and Visser getting the verdict.
