EDM DJ Diplo Is Going Down the Running Rabbit Hole

After running a sub-4 marathon (on LSD), Diplo is taking on another running venture

Grammy-award-winning artist Diplo is expanding his portfolio with the introduction of Diplo’s Run Club, an interesting concept that intertwines music and running.

The run club invites participants to take on a 5K run followed by an energetic afterparty featuring Diplo and his friends on the DJ decks.

There are currently two events scheduled, in San Francisco and Seattle.

The San Francisco event is slated to take place on September 8, 2024, while the Seattle event is scheduled for one week later on September 14, 2024.

Tickets for the debut events in San Francisco and Seattle have now gone on sale. Diplo emphasizes that the run club is inclusive and caters to individuals of all running abilities.

Diplo’s interest in running took center stage when he completed his first marathon at the 2023 Los Angeles Marathon. Accompanied by Olympian Alexi Pappas, Diplo crossed the finish line in 3 hours, 55 minutes, and 16 seconds.

Despite minimal training, Diplo’s performance exceeded expectations. His Los Angeles Marathon finish adds to his growing list of athletic accomplishments, including his spontaneous participation in the 2022 Miami Half Marathon, which he completed in an impressive time of 1 hour, 50 minutes, and 11 seconds without prior preparation.
