Ferrari will once again open some of its most iconic and normally restricted locations to the public in March 2026, hosting the second edition of the Enzo Ferrari Memorial Half Marathon of Italy.
After a successful debut in 2025, the race will take place over the weekend of March 27 to 29, turning Ferrari’s hometown into a three-day celebration of sport, community, and the legacy of the company’s founder.

A Race Through Ferrari’s Heartland
The event features three distances: a 5 km run, a 10 km race, and a half marathon. The 5 km event will be held on Saturday, while the 10 km and half marathon will take place on Sunday.
The courses are designed to showcase Ferrari’s deep roots in the Emilia-Romagna region. All three races include sections of Ferrari’s private Fiorano test track, a circuit normally reserved for engineers, drivers, and prototype vehicles.
The half marathon runs point-to-point from Maranello to Modena. It starts at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, passes through the Ferrari factory complex, the Fiorano circuit, and, for the first time, the new Ferrari e-Vortex test track. Runners then continue through the towns of Fiorano Modenese and Formigine before finishing in Piazza Roma in the center of Modena.
The 5 km and 10 km races follow looped courses that begin and end at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello.
Ferrari describes the area as the “land of engines, dreams, and passion,” and the race is designed to reflect both the brand’s history and its connection to the local community.

Affordable Entry and Strong Competition
Despite the exclusivity of the setting, entry fees remain relatively low by international standards. Registration costs €11 ($12.75 USD) for the 5 km race, €15 ($17.35 USD) for the 10 km, and €28 ($32.40 USD) for the half marathon.
For comparison, to get a place in one of the Abbott World Marathon Majors, it’s going to clock in anywhere from $150-$300 just for the registration fee alone.
The inaugural 2025 event attracted elite talent as well as recreational runners. Kenyan athlete Emmanuel Wafula won the men’s half marathon in 59 minutes and 20 seconds, while Gladys Cherop, also from Kenya, claimed the women’s title in 1 hour, 8 minutes, and 23 seconds.
Organizers expect a similar mix of elite and amateur runners in 2026.

Ferrari’s Community Focus
Ferrari announced the event in October alongside RCS Sports & Events, the race’s organizing partner. The presentation was attended by Ferrari Chief Executive Benedetto Vigna, Ferrari Vice President Piero Ferrari, and leaders from local and regional governments.
Proceeds from race registrations and partner contributions, after organizational costs, will be donated to projects aimed at renovating sports facilities in local schools along the race route. The goal is to promote physical activity and access to sport among young people.
“Ferrari is a unique brand, combining exclusivity and inclusivity,” Mr. Vigna said at the announcement. “Welcoming the ‘Mezza Maratona d’Italia – Enzo Ferrari Memorial’ to our symbolic locations is a way to share our passion for this discipline with our community and fans.”
He added that the company sees the race as part of its broader commitment to the region and as a way to honor the memory of Enzo Ferrari.

A Weekend Beyond the Race
The race weekend will also include a broader festival atmosphere, with community events and activities planned across Maranello and Modena.
Registered runners will have access to discounted tickets at the Ferrari Museums in Maranello and Modena during the race period, further tying the sporting event to the company’s cultural footprint.
Ferrari has invited fans, families, and runners of all ages to take part, positioning the event as both a competitive race and a regional celebration.
