The 129th Boston Marathon is set to take place on Monday, April 21, 2025. Whether youโ€™re cheering from the sidelines or tuning in from home, hereโ€™s everything you need to know to experience this iconic race.โ€‹

Watch our 2025 Boston Marathon Watch Along Live Stream, hosted by Marathon Handbook editors Alex Cyr and Michael Doyle, along with special guests.

Weโ€™ll be offering a second-screen experience if youโ€™re also watching the broadcast, or an alternative if you arenโ€™t able to watch the race. Weโ€™ll go live starting at 9: 00 a.m. ET, about 30 minutes before the elite races begin.

Marathon Handbook: Mile Zero

Marathon Handbook invites you to an intimate live show on Saturday, April 19th, 2025, from 5:30PM to 7:30 PM. 

Join the Marathon Handbook teamโ€”Michael DoyleKatelyn Tocci, and Alex Cyrโ€”for an engaging evening featuring special guests Amby Burfoot, legendary Boston Marathon champion, and Brady Holmer, renowned sports science writer. 

The panel will dive deep into the lore, current state, and reality of running the Boston marathon, as well as how Boston runners can leverage the latest sports science in their marathon efforts on Monday. 

The talk will be followed by a Q+A session, then drinks and snacks will be provided with some time to hang out with the panel and attendees.

New Balance: Marathon at the TRACK

Kick off marathon weekend with an unforgettable Saturday night at the Trackhouse. This unique team relay invites groups of 10 to 26 runners to collectively cover the marathon distance โ€” 211 laps on the track โ€” with complete freedom to divide the laps however they choose. As runners tag in and out, the infield transforms into a festive hub with food, cocktails, beer, and live entertainment.

Asics x BITR: Boston Marathon Shakeout Run

Start your morning with one of the most beloved traditions of Boston Marathon weekend โ€” the ASICS shakeout run.
