UTMB Lottery Results: Did You Get In? 1

The results of the 2026 UTMB Mont-Blanc lottery were released today, determining who will line up at one of trail running’s most competitive start lines next summer.

Runners who pre-registered for UTMB, CCC, OCC, and the ETC can now check their MyUTMB accounts to see whether they were selected, placed on the waiting list, or not drawn. As in previous years, selection was based on the Running Stones system, with more Stones increasing a runner’s chances in the draw.

This year’s lottery was the first to include UTMB’s new responsible mobility incentive. Runners who committed to reaching the Mont-Blanc valleys without using a private car received a 30 percent boost in their lottery odds. The bonus applied to UTMB, CCC, OCC, and ETC entries, but not the MCC, which remains reserved for locals, volunteers, and event partners.

Selected runners will now need to confirm their entries within the allotted confirmation window. Those who opted into the mobility bonus will later be required to submit proof of residence and travel. UTMB has said that entries can be cancelled if the documentation does not match what was declared during pre-registration.

The 2026 lottery also comes ahead of another major change. From this edition onward, all runners will be required to pay a mandatory carbon contribution based on the emissions from their round-trip travel to the event. UTMB says runner travel accounts for nearly 86 percent of the race’s total carbon footprint.

For those still hoping to get in, waiting lists will move as spots are declined in the coming weeks. For everyone else, today marks the end of another long UTMB lottery cycle and the beginning of planning, logistics, and travel decisions for those lucky enough to have secured a place.
