2025 Shanghai/Keqiao Diamond League: Full Track Recap and Results 1

Menโ€™s 100m

Akani Simbine is making a habit of winning when it matters. The South African, now 31, edged Jamaicaโ€™s Kishane Thompson in a photo finishโ€”9.98 to 9.99โ€”to collect his second straight Diamond League win after a similar victory in Xiamen. His technique and consistency are shining this season, and it’s clear heโ€™s in the best shape of his life.

Thompson, whoโ€™s often faster in championship rounds, ran well but couldnโ€™t close the gap in time. Olympic 200m champ Letsile Tebogo finished third, looking smooth but still a step away from top-end 100m form. Christian Coleman faded to fifth in another underwhelming outing.
