Harry Styles announced 25 more shows for his Together, Together tour on Thursday, across 12 cities, and six of them land in April. He plays AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on April 10, then does not play again for 12 days, until the first of two nights at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif. on April 23. The 2027 Boston Marathon falls on Monday, April 19, square in the middle of that.
Styles has run two marathons. The first was Tokyo, on March 2, 2025, where he went through halfway in 1:42:03 and came back in 1:42:04, a second apart, for 3:24:07. The second was Berlin last September, where he entered under the name Sted Sarandos and ran 2:59:13. That is 24:54 quicker in six months, which is a serious jump for anyone. The Berlin daily Der Tagesspiegel spotted him first, and organizers later confirmed to the German news agency dpa that he had run, according to NBC News.
We looked at this back in January, when the gaps in his Madison Square Garden residency lined up neatly with Berlin, Chicago and New York. All three of those races are still ahead of him this autumn, starting with Berlin on Sept. 27, so that one is still an open question. What is new is that the 2027 dates have the same shape.

Boston Wants 2:55:00
Boston is the only major that makes most of its field earn a place on the clock, and that is where this comes apart. Styles turned 32 in February, so he will be 33 on race day, which puts him in the men’s 18 to 34 group. That group needs 2:55:00. He has run 2:59:13, and 4:13 is a long way at that end of the range.
The standard is only the price of applying, in any case. The Boston Athletic Association takes entries from everyone who has it, fills the field from the fastest time down, and then announces how far under the standard the last runner in actually had to be. For the 2026 race that cutoff came out at 4:34, so men aged 18 to 34 really needed 2:50:26, and 8,887 people who had beaten the published standard were turned away anyway. Measured against that, Styles is 8:47 short. Roughly 20 seconds a mile.
He could not go and fix it now even if he wanted to, because the clock has already run out. A 2027 qualifier had to come from a certified course between Sept. 13, 2025 and the close of registration next Friday, and Berlin scraped inside the front of that window by only eight days. It is the one qualifying time he owns. This year’s Berlin is on Sept. 27, nine days past the deadline, which makes anything he runs there a 2028 qualifier instead. Next week’s registration is also the first to dock steep downhill courses: a net drop of 1,500 to 2,999 feet adds five minutes to whatever you submit, 3,000 to 5,999 feet adds ten, and past 6,000 feet the course does not count at all.

London Is Booked
London, the obvious alternative for someone who lives there, is unavailable for a completely different reason. The race is splitting across two days in 2027, Saturday April 24 and Sunday April 25, with 100,000 runners shared between them and the elite, para-athlete, championship and Good For Age fields divided by gender, one group on each day. Organizers have not said yet which gender runs which day. Styles is at the Rose Bowl in the United States on the 23rd and the 24th, so that removes it as an option. Hugh Brasher, who runs London Marathon Events, has called it “a once-in-a-generation one-time-only reimagining of what a marathon and city-wide celebration of activity can be,” and 2027 is the only year it happens.

The Invitational Route
That leaves a charity bib, which is the one way in that ignores next week’s deadline completely. The association gives entries to organizations accepted into its Bank of America charity program, and those organizations then choose their own runners in exchange for fundraising. The June deadline that has now passed was for charities applying to join the program, not for the runners they will bring to Hopkinton in April. The random draw that is new for 2027, roughly 1,000 places, is no help to him at all, because it only pulls from people who already have the standard.
Autumn is the easier fit anyway. The tour as announced finishes on Aug. 28 at Wembley, which leaves every major from September onward wide open. Boston’s qualifier registration opens Monday and closes at 5 p.m. ET on Friday.
