The World Has Gone Crazy Over This Athlete Who Recorded Her Childbirth On Strava

Should Strava add "Childbirth" as an activity type?

Strava is arguably one of the most important aspects of the modern-day endurance athlete. Whether you’re a serious runner, a hobby cyclist, an avid triathlete, or anything in between, the one thing we can all agree on is “Strava or it didn’t happen.”

Although the most popular sports recorded on Strava include running, cycling, and swimming, the app has expanded over the years to include nearly 50 activities, including soccer, kayaking, and squash.

Despite a plethora of activities to choose from, one Strava user found one was missing: Childbirth.

The world went nuts after one Strava user, Marina, posted her childbirth on the app under the sport type “Workout.”

The “Workout” lasted 5 hours and 37 minutes, where she had an average heart rate of 81, resulting in 914 calories burned.

A screenshot of her workout was posted on X and has received over 4.4 million views and hundreds of funny comments.

While others took note of her shockingly low number of kudos:

(To be fair, we think she should’ve had way more kudos too)

Her average HR also shows her commitment to sticking to the training and not going outside her zones:
