WATCH: New Ingebrigtsen Docuseries Set To Air On Amazon Prime In September

The series will focus on Jakob's 2024 Paris Olympic build.

Following the recent release of the Netflix docuseries ‘Sprint,’ running fans can rejoice with another big docuseries coming to them on Amazon Prime on September 20, 2024.

After the success of their previous series, ‘Team Ingebrigtsen,’ the Ingebrigtsen trio—Henrik, Filip, and Jakob—are set to captivate fans once again in their brand-new documentary series, ‘Born to Run.’

The series will give viewers behind-the-scenes access to the Ingebrigtsen life in the lead-up to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games

The star of the new series is Jakob, the youngest of the Ingebrigtsen brothers. At just 23 years old, Jakob claimed Olympic gold in the men’s 5,000m at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The series documents his highs and lows leading up to that moment, including his unexpected fourth place in the 2024 Olympic 1,500m

Viewers will also get an intimate glimpse into Jakob’s personal life as he marries Elisabeth Asserson and prepares for the birth of their first child, all while staying focused on his intense training and Paris build.

Although Jakob is the main character, his older brothers, Filip (31) and Henrik (33), are also featured prominently in the show. Though they’ve stepped back from their own competitive running careers, the two brothers remain deeply involved in the sport and reflect on how their large, tight-knit family has shaped their lives and careers.

Notably absent from the series is their father and former coach, Gjert Ingebrigtsen. The family distanced themselves from Gjert in 2022 following allegations of physical abuse towards his children, which Gjert has denied.

‘Born to Run’ will be available to stream on Amazon Prime on September 30, 2024.
