After Strava’s recent acquisition of Runna, a new joint subscription combining two of the most popular running and fitness apps has been rolled out.
The new bundle, launched today, combines full access to both platforms for $149.99 per year (U.S. pricing), saving users up to 60% compared to paying for each app individually. Itโs only available as an annual plan and must be purchased through the Strava website or mobile app.
This marks the first major product release since Strava acquired Runna earlier this year. The move signaled Stravaโs ambitions to go beyond activity tracking and dip into the increasingly competitive space of personalized coaching and structured training. With the bundle now live, that vision is starting to take shape.
Strava, which now has over 150 million users globally, has long been a go-to for sharing workouts, chasing segment crowns, and joining virtual challenges.
But it never had a built-in coaching option. Thatโs where Runna comes in.
Founded in 2021 by British running coach Ben Parker and product lead Dom Maskell, Runna offers adaptive training plans, real-time audio cues, and in-app chat support. The app was a finalist for Appleโs App of the Year in 2024 and is currently available in over 180 countries.
Thereโs a catch, though: this is strictly a yearly subscription. Thereโs no monthly option, and existing discounts, like those used in Stravaโs Family Plan, donโt apply. Runna access is not bundled into the Family Plan, meaning individual users who want both platforms will need to switch or upgrade.
For those who are already subscribed to Strava or Runna separately, upgrading is relatively seamless. Strava says it will prorate remaining time or issue partial refunds depending on how you make the switch.
Once you sign up, linking your accounts is as simple as authorizing Strava within the Runna appโs settings. After that, your workouts and progress will automatically sync between the two platforms.
