The women’s 400m final followed in the record-breaking footsteps of the women’s 400m hurdles last night.

Marileidy Paulino of the Dominican Republic came into the race as one of the top favorites and managed to live up to the expectations. After earning a silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and another silver at the 2022 World Championship, Paulino was ready to take the top step of the podium.

Eid Naser clinched the silver medal with a time of 48.53, while Poland’s Natalia Kaczmarek rounded out the podium with a time of 48.98.
